In the wars
I started my new job eight days ago. It is an entirely sedentary desk job where I punch keys and click buttons all day. Here is a short list of work-related injuries I have sustained so far:
- Blister, right foot, last Monday. (Cause: new shoes.)
- Strained calf muscle, right leg, last Monday. (Cause: trying to keep pressure off aforementioned blister.)
- Black eye, left, last Tuesday. (Cause: excessive reading from a large screen with a 60hz refresh rate. Since corrected.)
- Blister, left foot, yesterday. (Cause: new shoes.)
- Bruised ribs, right side, today. (Cause: crunched in a tackle playing soccer on lunch break.)
